1. They have a strong sense of identity. They know who they are, which means they also know – specifically – what they do and do not want in a partner, what works and what doesn’t. While this is fantastic in terms of being able to choose wisely, it ultimately diminishes their pool of prospects pretty significantly.
2. Left unchecked, their hyper-intuitiveness can wreck relationships. Often prone to overthinking because of how deeply sensitive they are, their capacity to worry and make assumptions can break relationships that don’t have a perfectly strong foundation.
3. Many are in the throes of twin flame relationships. They’re attached or are with people who are not their “forever” people, rather, intense connections they’re meant to learn, and rapidly expand, from.
4. They often have a greater purpose that must be attended to first – one that love would distract them from. They usually have to accomplish quite a bit on their own before they find love – this is because old souls love deeply, and completely. To be given love too soon would keep them from the other important things they are here to do.
5. They will not settle for anything less than soulmate love. They require a lot more than just a surface-level, “average” relationship. They absolutely will not settle, and sometimes, that means biting the bullet and being alone for longer than what’s “average” as well.
6. While many people can bring them passion, few can bring compatibility. Because they feel so deeply and others find them so fascinating, it’s easy for them to find infatuation, but to be with someone who is truly their best friend, deepest confidant *and* lover is a challenge.
7. They’re less inclined to go out and meet people in modern ways. Even if they have nothing against online dating, it doesn’t always come naturally for them, nor does finding a random hookup at a bar or being set up blindly seem appealing.
8. They’re natural healers, and often attract people who need help, not love. And that attraction is reciprocated. There’s almost nothing that feels better to an old soul than being able to help someone who truly needs it. However, at some point in time, it’s crucial for them to realize that they have to choose a partner, not a student, or a charity case.
9. They dislike the “game.” Dating is inherently exhausting to an older-spirited person. Feigning disinterest for the sake of looking “cool” or knowing which faux pas other people find off-putting (how long after the first date do you text again?) isn’t instinctive to them, and can stress them out more than they ever find it “fun.”
10. Their standards are sky-high. They expect a lot from themselves, so likewise, they expect a lot from their partners. While this is a great thing, it’s another quality that has to be kept in check: it’s more important to be able to accept the qualities that aren’t deal-breakers than it is to just write a person off because they’re imperfect.
11. They have baggage. People who developed their inner selves quickly did so for a reason: they had to cope, they had to grow, or they had to learn from some challenging experiences that life set up for them. While this is a great thing on its own, unresolved issues can often re-manifest in close relationships.
12. They feel fear as intensely as they feel love. The degree to which they love something is proportionate to how much they fear losing it, or not being “good enough” for it. They don’t just love intensely, they feel everything else intensely, too, and sometimes, that gets in the way of the really good things in front of them.
Soft-Hearted People Are Often The Bravest
Nurudeen Ushawu once said, “Be soft, don’t let the world make you hard. Be gentle, don’t let the people make you difficult. Be kind, don’t let the realities of life steal your sweetness and make you heartless.”
It seems ironic to live in a generation wherein society appreciates kindness and compassion, and yet they also influence us to be someone else. Perhaps this is why soft-hearted people feel they do not fit in in a world that is trying to make us hard, difficult and heartless. But what does it feel like to be soft-hearted when people see them as a weak person?
Soft-hearted people are not ignorant to not know that everyone sees them as a weak person and how they are being exploited. But they are the bravest for still being themselves. Although they may always be taken for granted, these people will always give out a helping hand. Not that they are always available, but they will always set aside their own problems to give way to others.
They are the ones who carry the problems of the world, the ones who cry in the middle of the night while thinking of their friends’ problems, their family’s problems, even society’s problems, aside from their own. And as if they are not afraid to be hurt, they still choose to be kind.
As a reflection of their character, they give out kindness even to those who don’t deserve it. Despite being taken advantage of, soft-hearted people always choose to forgive. It is an attribute seen as a weakness and although it may seem absurd, soft-hearted people will still choose to do it. Not because they were not hurt, but because they believe that forgiveness is not something you do for others, but it is something you do for yourself. And by not forgiving, you destroy yourself.
Through forgiving, they have built peace within themselves, and it has served as a strong foundation to their resilience.
Soft-hearted people have failed many times. They have been turned down, neglected and exploited, and these are the times they thought the world has turned its back to them, and maybe it’s true. But what is fascinating is that they may cling to sadness, but soft-hearted should never be misinterpreted with faint-hearted, because these people are brave that they choose not to quit and escape, but to still pursue and not give up.
Soft-hearted people may give in to emotions easily, but they always strive to find happiness.
It is their soft heart that makes them bend, and never break. Lastly, soft-hearted people are the ones who feel the pain too much that they tend to succumb to it and take a longer time to heal.
But in the process of healing, they’ll always end up with a solution– to get up once again with the urge to spread kindness, cultivate peace, and radiate happiness, despite their vulnerability with the adversities of the world.
And no matter how painful it would get, they would choose to do it over and over again. And by that, they are the bravest.

Late Night Thoughts 2/22/2020
I love this bedtime meditation. This really helps me focus on feeling the presence of God as I fall asleep.
Love God; yourself and others
Some night; I just feel so lonely.
Anyone else feel this way?
Lord, I want to wear my love for You like runes etched on my skin. Carrying it day by day for all the world to see. I want to love You loud with every piece of my soul.
As this brand new season unfolds, I realized how much I’ve missed You. How far I’ve distanced myself away from Your love. I can taste the guilt on my lips as I think of all the ways I’ve chosen the world over my faith.
I handled some situations my own way, created my own mess until there was nothing left but the chaos in my broken heart. You’ve seen me trembling in sadness and confusion when the lights were off, and everybody thought I was sleeping peacefully. You’ve known my battles. You fought them for me. You heard the cries I tried to stifle. You knew the sins I was too ashamed to speak of.
I wasn’t like the daughter You claimed as Yours.
And yet, You came running for my rescue. You covered me in purity that can only come from You. You held me against Your arms and reminded me that I am still Your child. I am Yours from the very start.
I am Yours endlessly. You renewed my faith and helped me start over.
I have a lot of hopes for this year but above all, I hope to love You more, My Father. I hope to sing You praise at the top of lungs. I hope to write about Your salvation in the pages of my life.
I want to understand my own heart while I seek Yours. I want to put You first and love You the most, Dear God. This is the only way I can love others as You taught me how.
You proclaimed Your love for Your children on Mount Calvary. I no longer want to love You in silence, behind the comfort of my own walls. I want a love that climbs mountains and makes it move.
I want to live out this love like a fire that burns every trace of hatred and resentment in me. I want to love You, Lord, with my heart that has known brokenness and redemption.
I want to love You more, Lord God, because You are what love is. I want to love You because You loved me first.
The Spindle Berry Fairy
See the rosy-berried Spindle
All to sunset colours turning,
Till the thicket seems to kindle,
Just as though the trees were burning.
While my berries split and show
Orange-coloured seeds aglow,
One by one my leaves must fall:
Soon the wind will take them all.
Soon must fairies shut their eyes
For the Winter’s hushabies;
But, before the Autumn goes,
Spindle turns to flame and rose!
The Winter Jasmine Fairy
All through the Summer my leaves were green,
But never a flower of mine was seen;
Now Summer is gone, that was so gay,
And my little green leaves are shed away.
In the grey of the year
What cheer, what cheer?
The Winter is come, the cold winds blow;
I shall feel the frost and the drifting snow;
But the sun can shine in December too,
And this is the time of my gift to you.
See here, see here,
My flowers appear!
The swallows have flown beyond the sea,
But friendly Robin, he stays with me;
And little Tom-Tit, so busy and small,
Hops where the jasmine is thick on the wall;
And we say: “Good cheer!
We’re here! We’re here!”
2019 Minnesota’s First Snow Fall
The leaves on the tree-tops
Dance in the breeze;
And sways like the trees—
Shaking and quaking!
While through it there goes,
Dancing, a fairy,
On lightest of toes.
(Totter-grass is also called Quaking-grass.)
A tall, tall tree is the Pine tree,
With its trunk of bright red-brown—
The red of the merry squirrels
Who go scampering up and down.
There are cones on the tall, tall Pine tree,
With its needles sharp and green;
Small seeds in the cones are hidden,
And they ripen there unseen.
The elves play games with the squirrels
At the top of the tall, tall tree,
Throwing cones for the squirrels to nibble—
I wish I were there to see!
The root chakra (Muladhara) represents our foundation. It anchors us and gives us the feeling of being grounded. When the root chakra is open, we feel confident in our ability to withstand challenges and stand on our own two feet. When it’s blocked, we feel threatened and unstable.

- Associated Themes & Emotions: Sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, and sexuality
REFLECTION: What do you blame yourself for?
Solar Plexus Chakra
The solar plexus chakra (Manipura) speaks to your ability to be confident and in control of your life. Think back to the last time you had butterflies or felt a pit in the stomach: That’s the Manipura chakra at work.
- Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area
- Associated Themes & Emotions: Self-worth, self-confidence, and self-esteem
REFLECTION: What are you ashamed of?
The heart chakra (Anahata) is one of the most important chakras since it connects the bottom three chakras (associated with materiality) with the top three ones (associated with spirituality). As the name suggests, this chakra can influence our ability to give and receive love—from others and ourselves.
- Location: Center of chest, just above the heart
- Associated Themes & Emotions: Love, joy, and inner peace
REFLECTION: You must allow yourself to Release all your sadness and loss…
- Location: Throat
- Associated Themes & Emotions: Communication, self-expression, and truth
REFLECTION: Release your denial and the lies you tell yourself…
The third-eye chakra (Ajna) speaks to our ability to see the big picture and connect to intuition. Think of it as the eye of the soul: It registers information beyond the surface level. As we move up the body, we’re getting closer to communion with the divine.
- Location: Forehead between the eyes (also called the Brow Chakra)
- Associated Themes & Emotions: Intuition, imagination, and wisdom

Associated Themes & Emotions: Inner and outer beauty, spiritual connection
REFLECTION: Complete control and awareness of all your actions… What attaches you to this world?
First Quarter/Waxing Moon:
Now the moon is half illuminated and half shadowed. This is the time to take action, to do the work necessary to foster the intentions you’ve set during the new moon. This is a time of strength, hard work, dedication and unwavering energy. A good time to launch new projects, implement healthy habits and push yourself to do the challenging work required to actualize your dreams.
The moon is fully illuminated. Her light shines down upon us from sunset to sunrise. This is the time for manifestation. Our energy and power are the most strong around the full moon. This is a time to dream big. Anything is possible. A great time to connect with higher powers and spirit guides. Also a great time to connect with others in your community. This is the culmination of all the work that has come before. Emotions are heightened during the full moon, so be gentle with yourself.
Last Quarter/Waning Moon:
The waning moon is all about releasing. Letting go of what no longer serves you, cleansing, breaking free of toxic habits and relationships. This is the time to make space for what you want to call in on the approaching new moon. A great time to go inward, for solitude, introspection and meditation. Also a potent time for forgiveness of self and others.
- Definitely! Sometimes the mood adjustment is so settle that it is hard to understand it is not your energy.
- I prefer smaller groups or one on one with others. When there is a large group of people; the vibrations become to intense.
- I am social every once in a while. Understanding your own heart and feeling other peoples pain is a lot to take on…. I cant help but want to help. So I will put so much tension and focus on energy that is not mine.
- hahaha I kinda just answered this one in question 3. I can not focus on myself if I have troubled souls around me.
- YES! I have way to many thoughts to explain. I always have a reason for things I do. I will always have a reason for when, where and why I am doing something. So most of the time I just say; I’m fine.
- I am in love with animals! And I have worked with children for about 12 years now! 🙂
- I LOVE CUDDLES!
- If their heart is truly hurting very deeply; I can absolutely feel the vibrations from their heart.
I have never understood all my emotions. I didn’t understand why I struggle in crowds and feeling drained so easily.. I thought I was just ridiculously sensitive.
Everything in my life came crashing down, my sport, coaching, my nanny job were all gone… It was such a shock…. I feel that God wanted me to completely stop everything I was doing and strengthen myself and learn about myself. I have always known I am spiritually aware; but feeling other peoples emotions… I had No Idea. Watching this video along with some others; my mind has been opened up so much!
I relate to everything she says in this video. Its crazy…. I can give examples of every situation she talked about.
My Family saved all the news papers from this tragic event. Today as my heart felt so heavy; I took the time to watch movies, read articles, and look back on these news papers….
I remember looking at these over and over as a kid.
I was 6 years old in 2001. I was in my first grade class when we got the news.
As a kid, I remember, everyone was evacuated from their classrooms and into the hall ways. All lights were being turned off while we all huddled together. While sitting in the dark, it was very quite. . The news was on the TV. And then slowly parents started showing up to pick up their children.
I remember my dad leaving his work and he rushed to my school to get me. Luckily my dad was one of the first parents that arrived.
I feel that I can be so strong and do so much… But at times I just need a loving hug.
It’s just me, myself and I with Jesus by my side 💙
Whether I get a loving hug or no hug… I will press forward.
God, I Trust You To Bring The Right Person To Me At The Right Time
By Mitzi J HernandezUpdated August 24, 2019
My heart is tired of waiting for the right person to come knocking at my door. I have opened the door to men that only caused destruction inside the walls of my heart. And when they walked out of my life, they took a piece of my heart that I will never get back.
I am tired of giving my time to temporary people. I am tired of giving my heart to men that don’t want to make it their forever home. I am tired of having to mend my own heart after every failed relationship. And I am tired of not receiving the same amount of love that I am giving out.
Yes, I am tired but I am still hopeful. I know that I will eventually find a man that will see my heart as his home, but I am not going to search for him anymore because God, I trust you to bring the right person to me at the right time.
I’ve been praying for this person for years, and now I know the reason why you haven’t answered my prayer is because you are working on finding me the right person. I have faith that you will bring me someone far better than what I prayed for. The choices that I have made when it comes to men were not the right ones, but now I choose to trust you, and to guide me towards my person.
God, I trust you because you are the one who loves me more than any other, and you know exactly what my heart desires. You can see right through me and know what is best for me. You are loving. You are kind. You are so good, and I hope to find a man that has those qualities too. And I know that when the time is right, you will lead me to a man that will love me as much as you.
I am grateful for your love and kindness in my life. I know that you truly do have the answers to lasting love. And while you are working on bringing me the perfect man, I ask you to please help me to align my perspective toward men with yours.
Please help me to be patient, and trust you during moments when I feel like the time is not moving fast enough. Help me not to take matters in my own hands, and not to fall in the hands of men that are no good for my soul.
Please help me to be a better woman, mother, and friend. Help me to be the woman that you intended for me to be. Help me to become the kind of woman that every good man prays for.
God, give me strength on the days that I ache for a mate. Please put my heart at ease on those nights when I wish I had a lover by my side. I must admit that sometimes it does get lonely, and I often wonder when this person will walk into my life. But I know that you are working on bringing us together, and the day when the stars align, you will make sure we cross paths. I believe that you are working on my forever person.
God, I am praying for a good, faithful man that will look after my heart. I pray that he aspires to love me like you do. Please bring me the man who is already praying for me too.
I trust you that you will answer my prayers in your perfect timing. I know that when I am ready to welcome him into my life, you will reveal who he is. I fully trust you to bring me the person that will enhance my life. A person that loves you, and brings me closer to you.
God, I thank you in advance for the amazing person that you will bring to me one day.
The Right One Won’t Be Bothered By Your Flaws, Weirdness And Your Overthinking Mind
The one that is destined to spend their life next to you won’t mind your flaws.
Your soulmate, your kindred spirit, your twin flame, your lover, your one true love, whatever you want to call it, they won’t be bothered by your imperfections.
This person will accept you for who you are. They will fall in love with your wild, untamed side. They will find your silly little quirks cute. Your different opinions and ideas will not be something they’d wish to change. In fact, your differences will inspire them to question and change certain things in life.
The right one will not be bothered by your loud and overthinking mind. They will hush down your loudest insecurities and calm down your paranoias. They will not judge you. On the contrary, they will understand the reason why you always overanalyze everything. They will know that you do that because you deeply care for them.
The right person will not go running for the hills when you two have a small fight. They will not be afraid to confront you and openly talk to you about any kind of issues you two might have. They won’t mind your mini breakdowns. They are not going to leave you all alone when you feel the weakest. They will stand by you, hold your hand and let you know that the best is yet to come.
The right person isn’t going to judge you for being weird. They will enjoy your peculiar traits. In fact, your craziness will complement your craziness. They are going to make you laugh until you cry. They are going to make sure you feel comfortable to be yourself in front of them, without masks and without embarrassment.
The right person isn’t going to be afraid of the intensity of your love. They won’t feel overwhelmed by your affection. In fact, they will enjoy your small acts of love. They will love the way you spoil them, treat them and make them feel like the happiest person alive. They will never need a break from you or your love. Because this person will be thrilled about spending their life by your side.
Most importantly, the right person for you will never hurt you, leave you, lie to you or abandon you. They are going to take care of your heart and soul the way they take care of their own.
Hope you are having a Blessed labor day weekend!

Wait For Someone Who Is Just As Weird As You Are
In life, you will meet so many different people. And you will probably date a few people as well. Throughout your relationships, it’s important to be patient. Be patient and wait for the person who is just as weird as you are.
Wait for someone who laughs at your bad jokes.
Throughout your life, you will date people who will simply not understand the jokes you make. You may make truly terrible jokes, and some people will not laugh at all. Wait for the person who laughs at your terrible jokes, not out of pity, but because that is a quality about you that they love.
Wait for someone who embraces your wild side.
You may be “too loud” in public sometimes. You may spontaneously burst into song or start dancing, or you may attempt to take goofy pictures in front of others. Whatever wild thing you do in the public eye, wait for someone who will be right there by your side during the process. Do not be with someone who will become embarrassed and ask you to tone it down. Wait for someone who will join you or who will video you and make fun of you for years to come.
Wait for someone who will talk in weird voices with you.
Life is too short to be so serious. Wait for someone who will talk in a weird, funny voice to you. Wait for someone who will use strange words to talk to you. Wait for someone who will do weird movements or dance moves simply to give you a laugh.
Wait for someone who will act like an idiot in front of you.
When you are in a relationship, it’s important to have fun. It is too stressful to be constantly worried about how you’re being perceived. Wait for someone who will act like a complete idiot in front of you, and vice versa. Wait for someone who can laugh at the silly things you both do.
Wait for someone who doesn’t make you feel silly for being a little weird.
Some people can be judgmental. Wait for someone who doesn’t look down on you or make you feel silly for being a little weird. Wait for someone who not only tolerates your weirdness, but who embraces it.
Wait for someone who loves every part of you, even the weird part.
Wait for someone who doesn’t roll their eyes or scoff when you do something weird. Wait for someone who smiles when you act weird. Wait for someone who loves that you have a weird side.
Wait for someone who is just as weird as you are.
By Kelsi Noble
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (psalm 23:4)
This world will bring Everyone pain and stress. It is SO important to be with someone that can help you enjoy life even when situations are tough.
I was in an abusive relationship and whenever Anything was stressful.. It was taken up on a whole nother level that is not appropriate..
I desire to help my partner breath and find joy even through the sadness.
Hurt people hurt people.
You are SO Special!! No one is like You!! You, are the best version that could ever existe! Do not let anyone bring you down!
Find someone that Loves every part of you. Think about the Love God wants for you in your life. Do not settle for less than you know you deserve.
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23)
I will praise You, O’Lord, with my whole heart; Overflowing with your love & joy. I just can’t help but to want to scream and shout to let all Your love out! For my heart is full, all because of You Lord! You give me strength and purpose. Because I know you only want greater for me. I will tell of Your marvelous works no matter the pain or amount of work it takes. I will always keep my eyes on You and Thank You for all that you do. For you bring blessings into my life, so many that I do not deserve. I will be glad and rejoice in You, even when my heart is heavy, and I am afraid of the unknown, But I will stand firm in my faith because I know You have plans to prosper me and not to harm me. I will sing praise to Your name, for when I let all go and only sing to You; is when my heart comes to peace. No matter the situation I’m in. O’ Most High, life my eyes, heart, and soul and help me humble myself, for I know, one day I will see my Father on the throne!
This was a little hard for me to read.. because I thought I was in love one time… When he was actually manipulating me. He was even mentally & sexually abusive..
I would much rather make sure that I am safe and secure. Anything can happen in life… Love is dangerous. One minute they are with you and the next they are not.
One day at a time.
I desire to do some research about breathing techniques.
Strong girls need to look at their past… You made it through that.
Happy Fathers Day!!!
What Lucky kids to have such an Amazing Dad!! I hope you are having a great Fathers day. You definitely deserve to feel appreciated on this day!
You have taught me SO much! From little life lessons to real life tips. Watching you take care of your family has always warmed my heart. You Work So Hard! Whatever it takes. No matter the hour. I respect and admire all that you do for the family!
You really do not realize how much something means to you until it is gone.. You and your family has touched my heart in the most loving and supportive way I could ever imagine. I hope everyone is doing well!
LOVE & MISS YOU ALL!
HAPPY FATHERS DAY BRIAN
Happy Fathers Day!
A firm but loving touch
is what you gave to me.
You helped me learn to be strong
and stand on my two feet.
But when I needed you
You were there all of the time.
You are my dad, my hero,
And you’re the apple of my eye.
I like to think I’m Tough like You!
And just as Silly
I don’t really know what to say yet. So here are some songs that help I guess. #metoo
God, I need your strength… #metoo
Flash Back: 2/16/2016
Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. -Ephesians 6:10
I will put on the full armor of GOD! So when evil comes, I will be able to stand my ground. I will stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place. I will take the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of GOD. And I will pray in the spirit on all occasions! For this will allow me to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Grace to all who love the Lord! Jesus Christ with an undying love!
Hello! My name is Alexis. I have lots of thoughts. SO many…. I can not help but debate with Every Thought that has ever come about..?
